I need to come out and say Tremors. By far one of the scariest movies and by far the best nostalgia of 90s Horror possible.

Steve, that film is considered Contemporary Horror. Post 60's, not black and white, special effects-driven.

Well, then you know since they are about monsters that attack and eat people, that it's a horror movie.

Yes. It's true.
You see, a comedy is a movie about a funny situation and the people in the funny situation. It's not a movie where people just say some funny lines. Because every kind of movie has people saying funny lines. Action movies, dramas, horror films, sci-fi, every genre uses comedy sometimes.
The Color Purple has a lot of funny lines in it. Is that movie a comedy? No, it's a very serious drama. With a lot of funny scenes.

That's because it's a throwback film. They made a lot of these in the 1980's (Christine, Strange Invaders, The Blob, Night of the Creeps, Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II, many more) and early 90's (Matinee). They're supposed to feel like 50's sci-fi films and classic horror - which always either felt like a period drama or a social comedy. Just watch the original 1931 version of Dracula. Or any movie from the 1950's. None of them really felt like horror movies. All old horror movies feel like some other kind of movie. And that's what a lot of the directors who made 70's and 80's horror movies grew up watching.

I think then my favorite work of original Horror is Bela Lugosi's classic Dracula.

I'm a huge Dracula lover I just bought the DVD with The original classic, The one with a new score, and it even comes with the Spanish verision with Carlos Villarias. The second Classic horror I like is Frankenstien I liked Karlof's portrayal of the monster in that movie!
